Hello everyone. there are some issues not very clear. Using safesky, do other systems (flarm, pilotaware etc..) see me? in areas where I have no connection, for example in oper sea, how can I track my flight companions? Thanks a lot
My understanding, regarding the SafeSky app, is that you need a working mobile data connection to connect your app to the Safesky servers. Without a working connection you will not be getting data from the Safesky servers. So, if you are over open water with no mobile data connection, you won’t be getting information regarding aircraft in your vicinity.
Regarding if “other” systems such as PAW and FLARM will see you - probably not. PAW users may have a connection to OGN so may see SafeSky derived traffic via OGN. I don’t believe such a capability exists for FLARM users, though the Safesky team can clarify this point.
