Unfortunately no, if you’re flying with only the SafeSky app on your Android smartphone, glider pilots using FLARM receivers won’t see you. FLARM devices detect only other FLARM signals, and the app doesn’t transmit on that protocol. ![]()

The simplest way to look at this is that the SafeSky concept is, generally, a RECEIVER of EC signals (Mode S/ ADS-B Out/FLARM/other protocols). The one exception is if the “other” glider/aircraft/paraglider etc. also has the SafeSky app running. The SafeSky app also functions as a transmitter of GPS position, so other SafeSky users will detect SafeSky equipped aircraft.
