SafeSky "loses" SkyEcho2

I am running SE2 (with a WiFi name “SE”)

I connect my iPhone and my iPad to the SE WiFi, then “Take-Off” in SS, then “Go Flying” in SD on both the iPhone and iPad and, for a time, it all works, but I then get this:

So, I wonder whether the SE2 has stopped working, but the light are on:

So I check whether the WiFi is still working on the iPhone and it is:

and SD is still receiving position data from SE2:

So where is the “Waiting for SkyEcho” message coming from and how can I fix it?

I had a similar behavior but in my case also lost connection to SD.
The SE guys told me that the latest SE2 wifi firmware got limited Wifi transmission power due to some nasty regulations resulting in frequent connection losses.
I reverted back the SE2 Wifi firmware to version 0.2.35 what resolved the issue on my end.
Maybe worth a try?
