I recently forgot to turn off SafeSky and recorded half way my track back home in my car. I thought that must happen to other people as well, especially when linked to SkyDemon, where I turn off the navigation but completely forget about SafeSky.
And that’s true: Especially in the evening, when most aerodromes are closed, you can see some folks sitting at home and streaming their private location to SafeSky. I think that’s a security issue, especially since you can link the data provided by the (sometimes) public profile to it and also to the airplane itself.
There should be a security feature which turns off the streaming at some point. Probably hard to detect, but I think it’s worth more investigation.
