I operate as a tug pilot for a gliding club. Some of our gliders use FLARM.
We do not have a ground based FLARM repeater. Will I be able to see local FLARM equipped gliders in the air?
Can one set up as a SafeSky ground repeater?
Only if they fly high enough to be received from the nearest Flarm ground receiver, or maybe (I am not sure) received from a Stratux linked to a smartphone running Safesky?
Yep ,… use a selfmade Stratux receiver and configure a FLARM OGN radio on it. Couple then this Stratux to f.i. SkyDemon and off you go!
