Hi Tnovak ,
Thank you for your answer , I do apreciate.
Surely, please let me know you idea about that
Yes , when we are on models aircrafts sites , we’d want to be seen by real planes or gliders ( even paragliders …) , in order to avoid collisions and improve mutual safety.
( In fact, although some model aircrafts areas are declared as special aeras on aeronautical maps , they are not seen by Efd or Flarm like systems …and a few pilots read these maps or actually know these areas …)
I’ve done some tests with Safesky or Ogn App : I can see a lot of gliders or small planes , but even when we’re identified on Safesky , we’are seen at the wrong position , speed and altitude ( The pilot’s location on ground! …) without any safety area around our models .
I guess we are seen on the Safeky or Ogn network , but like a spot on the ground (?)
Not sure they can get any safety alarm , far enough ? …
So my suggestion and require :
A way to be identified on Safesky App like the others models but with a safety “bubble “ of 200 m high above the pilot, and 200 m around him , for example .
In order to increase the safety zone and to allow an alarm to be set far enough away for real aircraft and gliders, via the Safesky, Efd and Ogn networks… and also for model aircraft pilots via Safesky.
( Furthermore, be aware that in France and Europe, only outside of the official FFAM sites, model aircrafts are supposed to be identified by small beacons, unfortunately equipped with BLE transmitters (maximum range of 200 meters) , incompatible with any other networks …)
Please , let me know how it could be possible and what is you Idea about this subject ?
