For the community’s information, I have noticed that SafeSky TAF reports are completely wrong and for the wrong day.
METAR reports are okay.
I have reported this to Tristan who says they have identified the issue. A fix should come out soon.
Tony
Tristan,
Regarding the issue with wrong TAFs, I noticed something a bit strange this evening.
If I click on my home airfield, SafeSky displays a list of five nearby airfields with METARs and TAFs.
If I click on each METAR it also displays a TAF.
EGVO has a correct TAF (date 171637Z)
EGVP has an INCORRECT TAF (date 071625Z)
EGHI has an INCORRECT TAF (date 211657Z)
EGLF doesn’t display any TAF, though one is available (checked via SkyDemon)
EGUB displays an INCORRECT TAF (date 262115Z)
So:
One TAF is correct
Three TAFs are for the wrong day
One TAF is completely missing, though is available
This is very strange behaviour and looks to me like a SafeSky processing issue rather than the source of TAF data not being available.
Hope this helps.
Thanks Tony for your recent support. The original issue was coming from the TAF provider. We have now a fallback TAF source coming in the next release.
Fly Safe,
Tristan
