Exporting flight logs

Hi there.
Firstly let me say that I am very happy with SafeSky, however I have a question.

I see that the flight logs can be shared with another app that supports xml or gpx formats, but I don’t have those on my phone. I would like to be able to save the flight logs in either kml or gpx format to transfer them to other devices which can view them.

Am I missing something, or is this really not possible at this time?

Hello @CWilt ,

First of all, thanks for your encouragements with SafeSKy. Very much appreciated

We are planning to add shortly the ability to export your flight logs by email and as a local file too.

Stay tuned, and fly safe,

Tristan

I had the same comment, and found a workaround, at least for Android:

  • Install the GPX viewer free version.
  • ask Safesky to share the trace in GPX format to the “GPX viewer” application
  • the log is actually saved on “/storage/emulated/0/My Documents/Tracks/saved”, where it is named “Safesky Flight Logs (GPX).gpx”
If you repeat this without renaming the file, “(1)”, “(2)”,… is appended to the filename.
Hoping it helps you until the file export function is implemented in SafeSky.
