Hi everyone
I am just wondering if it is possible to add my Avionix “ADS-L Tracker” (the black device) to the SafesSky app as an external device? I don’t want to pay the subscription only to possibly find that it wouldn’t work together.

Did you ever get around to testing it? I received my ADS-L Tracker today, and is quite puzzled by the lack of documentation or even information in general.
Not yet. I have been flying with it, but without connecting it to Safesky. I should be able to test it next Tuesday with Safesky. I paid the subscription now.
Have you been able to configure the device? I can’t find any way to actually set it up. I manage to get it to work in SkyDemon, but this being a out-device, I can’t get myself to bring it in the air without actually setting the correct aircraft ID first.

They also have an OGN Config Tool for your PC, just ask support for it and they will help you out. I had good support so far when I wrote them.
I did a quick test, on the ground, and it doesn’t seem to work in combination with SafeSky.
It took a couple attempts to get rid of the “Address already in use” error. But now I can only get it to work as long as the SafeSky app is in the foreground. As soon as I bring SkyDemon to the front, SafeSky alerts me that it has lost the connection to the GDL90 device (no other way to connect the ADS-L Tracker).
This feels very much like an alpha product, nowhere close to consumer ready.
It works together with Safesky for me, connected to the smartphone and EFB.
I just did another flight and it worked great with Safesky! Let me know if I can help with your setup
