SafeSky Phantom Planes 24/7

Hi!

I have a “SafeSky equipped” something (OE-DTB) in the area of my Homebase that is present 24/7 but effectively never moves. It is only shown with SafeSky. In any other web based tracking program it’s not there. What could be done to get rid of such phantom planes?

Best regards,

Wolfgang

it looks like somebody startet the app on ground and started “flying”, then the airplane pops up in the map. and didnt stopped it…

would be good to filter them out… after some idle time?

I assume at this place is not even an aircraft, just a permanently switched-on mobile phone or terminal. Unfortunately, this phantom is in the approach sector of LOAV for months now.
Same happens with many paragliders. You can perfectly monitor them long after sunset when they drive home along the road
Unfotunately, such unreal aircrafts lead to false alarms and disrupt the system. More discipline is needed here.

Yes we here in Iceland have one such ghost plane operating here. This is a ground station operated by ISAVIA. They do not respect anything

Good news!
I was pleased to discover that the Phantom aircraft has disappeared from the LOAV approach area. Thanks to whoever.

One additional remark to the developers.

Meanwhile an increasing number of ground stations and others are broadcasting live traffic. Unfortunately, this leads to a certain multiplication. Example see below.

.
OE-BXR and OEBXR are the same aircraft and not two helicoptes moving around side by side.

I recently noted that my own plane has been shown twice. Once based on the installed ADSB and once as FLARM (which is definitely not installed). The false FLARM caused a permanent traffic alarm.

An intelligent filtering of obviously doubled aircrafts is required.

Here another example. In real one motorised glider, and not a motorplane plus a glider.

Hello all,

thanks a lot for the feedback. Could you please tell the date and time of the screenshots, so that we can double check what is happening?

thanks in advance, and fly safe,

Tristan

For the DKDRZ case you find the date and time on the top left side of the picture.

Hi Tristan,

the screenshot with the two helicopters (OE-BXR) has been taken 14.Nov.2024 at 14:46, that one with the planes (D-KDRZ) on 15.Nov.2024 at 15:11.
All in the area of LOAV.

Kind regards,
Wolfgang
