Better view of traffics in flight

Why don’t you add an optional forward view showing aircraft in front of my position instead of a 360 view with my position in the center of the screen ? I don’t need to see aircraft behind me during cruise phase.

See below an example of “Arc view” on A320 ND which is the setting used during 90% of flight.

360° view would be useful only during some rare phases, runway patterns or flight training with many heading changes..

On a clear, fine day a few years ago my Garrect TRX-1500 output, displayed on my Garmin G3x (map and ‘radar’), plus my SkyEcho 2 , displayed on my Skydemon screen (map and ‘radar’), showed an a/c much below me at around 5 o’clock. It was definetly not aware of me, as it continued to climb directly towards me. I first climbed to the right, levelled off and turned to see it pas right through my previosu position, presumably still unaware of my presence - despite my ADSB out and lights. I suspect its occupants were too fixated on the wonderful coastline below us.
Unlike an A320, I rarely can enjoy a radar traffic service, too, in my light aircraft.

I cruise at around 75 Kt. I have been overtaken by SR22s and RVs doing nearly 130 - 150 Kt !

It is good to know what is coming up from behind…
